1. Hawaii, the largest fire in history.
Recently, a serious fire broke out in Hawaii, USA.
It is said that the fire was the largest fire in the history of Hawaii, causing extremely large losses.
The fire has destroyed the entire town of Lahaina in Hawaii. Wherever the fire went, no grass grew, the land became scorched, and houses became ruins.
According to official U.S. data, the death toll has risen from 67 to 80, and thousands more are missing. The latest data is still being counted, and the results are not optimistic.
2. The local area was severely affected.
The fire swallowed the century-old town of Lahaina into the fire.
Once a lively street in this town, many businesses gathered. After the fire crossed the border, judging from the photos taken, the once-prosperous area had been razed to the ground, and what remained was broken buildings. The residents 'belongings had also been burned beyond recognition, which looked shocking.
Some survivors tried to return home. After they waited until the fire was put out, they returned home anxiously to see if they could find any valuable items in the house. But the various scenes in front of them made them extremely sad. The houses became ruins, the green plants turned into blackened tree trunks, and the cars only had wreckage. There are also various animal remains scattered on the road and in corners.
According to preliminary official statistics, 2500 buildings were burned, and post-disaster reconstruction funds are estimated to require more than US$5 billion.
3. Residents question the local government's inaction.
Why is there such a serious fire in Hawaii? The specific reason has not yet been ascertained by the authorities. It may be related to dry summer, passing hurricanes, local terrain and strong hay.
Why the fire broke out remains to be further ascertained.
"This fire was so sudden that there was no time to escape." Local residents complained.
Since the severe tsunami in Hawaii in 1946, which killed more than 150 people, an emergency system has been established there? The system is said to be tested every month. If there is an emergency, the alarm will sound.
However, according to surviving local residents, the alarm did not sound at all, and they were very sure that the alarm did not sound.
They didn't have any time to prepare, the fire came too quickly. When the fire burned in front of them, they realized that danger was coming.
Local residents angrily said, Where is the government? Where have they gone?
Many local survivors question the government's inaction. The emergency prevention system was built with money back then and was tested once a month, but nothing was done in the face of this fire.
After the fire broke out, the authorities failed to carry out timely rescue and did not see the fire brigade. They had to rely on these residents to escape spontaneously.
4. When will you return home?
The houses of local residents have disappeared, their homes have been destroyed, water and electricity are cut off, and basic materials cannot be guaranteed.
The surviving residents watched as the home they decorated with one hand turned into ruins in an instant. Standing there, they were stunned.
It is still unknown when they will return home.
Human beings are as small as dust in front of nature. No matter how developed technology is, at all times, we must respect nature, coexist harmoniously with nature, and respect the laws of nature.
I hope to find out the cause of the fire as soon as possible and give an explanation to the local residents who suffered.
More importantly, learn from it and avoid such a painful experience from happening again.
